What We Do
Kitchen-led ground-floor transformations, delivered by one team.
Ashecroft is not a kitchen retailer. We rethink the ground floor as a whole, covering architecture, structure, kitchen and build, and deliver it under one contract and one Project Guide. The kitchen sits inside the transformation, not beside it.
Our Services
What Ashecroft handles
Bespoke kitchen design and installation
Layout refinement, kitchen specification, appliance integration, lighting design and installation. The kitchen designed within the architecture of the house, not in a separate retail conversation.
Typically from £40,000
Kitchen extensions
Rear, side-return and wrap-around extensions designed to give the kitchen the space and the light it needs. Planning, structure and construction handled within the team.
Typically from £80,000
Open-plan reconfigurations
Removing internal walls, reshaping circulation, creating sight lines and resolving the relationship between kitchen, dining and living. Structural engineering and construction coordinated together.
Typically from £60,000
Structural knock-throughs
Load-bearing wall removals, steel beam insertion, lintel replacements and structural opening-up. Engineered, calculated and delivered with proper structural oversight.
Orangeries and garden rooms
Brick-and-glass structures that extend the ground floor into the garden. Designed as permanent, insulated living space, not conservatory additions.
Typically from £90,000
Bifold doors and glazed roofs
Aluminium, steel and timber glazing systems including bifolds, sliding doors, fixed panels, rooflights and lanterns. Specified as part of the envelope, not selected from a catalogue.
Underfloor heating, flooring and lighting
Wet and electric underfloor heating, engineered timber, natural stone and porcelain flooring, and architectural lighting design. All coordinated within the build sequence.
External hard landscaping
Patios, terracing, thresholds, drainage and external ground works that resolve the transition between inside and out. Delivered under the same contract.
Whole ground-floor transformations
Kitchen, living, utility, pantry, flooring, lighting, thresholds, external works and full delivery coordination. The ground floor resolved as one coherent piece of work.
Typically from £150,000
Project management
A dedicated Project Guide manages every aspect of delivery, from sequencing trades and coordinating suppliers to managing the programme and keeping the client informed through weekly structured updates.
Utility, bootility and pantry design
Dedicated spaces for laundry, storage, coats and food preparation, designed as part of the kitchen architecture rather than afterthoughts fitted into leftover corners.
Heating, ventilation and electrical coordination
Radiator strategy, underfloor heating zones, extract ventilation, consumer unit upgrades and electrical layouts resolved within the build programme. Specified properly, not patched in at the end.
Investment
How to think about investment
Every project is different. Investment depends on the scope of structural work, the specification of the kitchen, the complexity of the site and the level of finish required. The Scope & Investment Guide exists to give you a grounded financial framework before design commitments are made. Not a vague approximation, but a structured understanding of what the project is likely to involve.
Ashecroft operates on fixed-price contracts. Once scope is agreed and design development is complete, the price is the price.
The Team
An in-house professional team
Every Ashecroft project draws on embedded professional capability: architect, planning consultant, chartered surveyor, structural engineer and Project Guides. These are not referral partners. They are part of the delivery team.
